Overcoming the fear of being judged is more difficult than you can ever imagine..

Questions like - what people are going to think of me ? They must think I m so stupid.. right ? If I say this, will they think I am too authoritative? What if I spoke my mind, will they still like me ?
Etc etc etc

Some of us since our childhood have been the ‘parents pleaser’ doing things constantly to be accepted and loved. When we grew older we started doing the same thing to a larger audience and somewhere along the way, we lost our true selves..

So how can we get over this fear of being judged :
1. Understand that we are humans and we can’t be perfect. Accept it, it is important.
2. Talk positive about yourself to yourself !! Yes, sounds confusing.. however, how many times we end up calling ourselves ‘stupid’. Don’t you think something inside us is listening to even these causal remarks. So stop doing that ! Work on building a positive self esteem.
3. There will always be people who are judgemental, no matter what you do.. that’s bcz of their own insecurities and childhood traumas. So surround yourself with people who appreciate you and be open to constructive feedback.
4. Last but not the least - remember, nothing lasts forever.
